MORE BOGUS NUMBERS FROM OBAMA & CO….
As I mentioned earlier this week in another post, it was during a speech he gave on Monday, in Kansas City I think, that Barry took great pleasure in bragging about the fact that because of policies he has put into place, the then 6.1 unemployment rate was the lowest that it had been since 2008. And I also pointed out at the same time how it was that Barry had, and most likely quite on purpose, neglected to mention the fact that literally millions of Americans have now left the nation’s workforce since he first entered the Oval Office. Apparently he simply didn’t think that it worthy of being mentioned to the crowd assembled there before him.
And according to data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) just today, what we now know is that, as of last month, the number of those no longer in the workforce has climbed even further to 11.4 million Americans, who are age 16 and over. And that would be the current total of those who have left the nation’s workforce just since that dark and fateful day in January 2009 when it was that Barry first took office. As of last month, July 2014, there were now 92,001,000 Americans classified as "not in the labor force," meaning they not only didn’t have a job, but they didn’t actively seek one in the last four weeks.
On the day that Barry first took his oath of office, that number stood at 80,529,000, so it was therefore the number that he officially inherited from George W. Bush. And despite the fact that the number of Americans not in the labor force did drop ever so slightly in July, down 119,000 from the 92,120,000 Americans not in the labor force in June, it remains higher today, by nearly 12 million people, than it was in 2009. The participation rate, which measures the percentage of the civilian non-institutional population that participated in the labor force by either having a job or actively seeking one, increased from 62.8 percent in June to 62.9 percent in July.
In July, the number of unemployed Americans increased by 197,000 (from 9,474,000 in June to 9,671,000 in July), meaning they did not have a job even though they were actively seeking one. While the number of unemployed increased in July, so did the number of employed Americans: In June, there were 146,221,000 employed Americans, and that number climbed to 146,352,000 in July, a one-month increase of 131,000. The unemployment rate increased from 6.1 percent in June to 6.2 percent in July. But I think we are all able to very easily recognize the fact that 6.2 percent in no way paints an accurate picture of our current unemployment situation.
The employment numbers are but one of many examples that point out the lengths to which Barry & Co. will go in order to make it, at least, appear as if things are nowhere near as bad as what they really are. And unless one is willing to make the effort to get and to stay informed, one is likely to believe what is essentially nothing but propaganda coming from Barry and his team of highly skilled liars. Sadly we know very little about what goes on in an administration that continues to maintain that it is the most transparent administration in history. I think we all recognize that as the joke that it is. We won’t know what’s been going on until after we elect a new president, and if we elect another Democrat we’ll never know.
