WE WOULD DO BEST TO IGNORE THE SECOND STRINGERS AND FOCUS ON TRUMP…

You know, just once I wish our Republican politicians would work as hard to keep this country from being destroyed as Democrat politicians do in their effort to do just the opposite. But it’s every time that Republicans are presented with just such an opportunity, they do nothing but piss it away. For example, instead of choosing to unite in their support of President Trump and to present a united front against the Democrats, we have a bunch of competing egos who all think that they are actually able to do a better job than President Trump, when none could ever hope to.

What do you suppose would happen if all the Republicans now running for president decided to do what all the Democrats running for president did back in 2020. Because it was then that every one of them chose to unite behind the only guy they thought could win. And win he did, albeit with a considerable number of political shenanigans and with more than a few fraudulent votes. But he did ‘win,’ allowing them to declare their mission accomplished. You see, they all focused on one thing, that being the defeat of President Trump. They chose to do what was best for their party.

And unfortunately for the rest of us, because they all chose to get behind Joey, they have been able to make a great deal of progress on their agenda that has as its goal the end of America as we know it. Now as we approach the presidential election of 2024 imagine if the Republicans, instead of doing everything they can to fragment the party, chose to unite behind the only guy who really has any chance of winning in 2024? Wouldn’t it be great if they were to put what’s actually best for the country above what is best for each of them. What chance would the Democrats have?

And to be honest, words cannot describe the level of disappointment I have in my governor, Ron DeSantis. I really thought that he was one who could be counted on to put the survival of the country above his ego. That he could find it in himself to stand with President Trump for the sake of the country. But such was not the case. I wasn’t really surprised by Scott, Haley, Christie and Hutchinson, they’re all nothing more than RINOs anyway and want nothing more than to do all they can to splinter the party and make it easier for Joey, or some other Democrat, to win in 2024.

If only the Republicans could be a bit more like the Democrats, to play the game a bit more like they do, and to act as one when it comes to advancing our agenda and our vision for the country. But nope, we always have to be dragged down by competing egos while the other team simply waltzes across the finish line. We know the Democrats are out to destroy this country, we see it every day, and yet our side seems unable to find it within themselves to put the survival of the country above their next potential election victory. Clearly their priorities are not our priorities.

Out of all those who have decided to run, and all of those who have said they may run, the only candidate, and I mean the ONLY candidate, that I truly do trust is Donald Trump. The other wannabes make we want to puke, including my governor. Not one of these people, other than President Trump, are running because of their love of this country. And I will vote for no one if President Trump is not on the ballot. Because there would be no point. Our country is circling the drain and none of the other candidates are in any way prepared to do what needs to be done to stop it.

And any American who chooses to vote for any candidate other than President Trump is nothing more than an accomplice in America’s destruction. And it’s what we’ve all been watching take place over the last 29 months that should form the only encouragement one needs to cast their vote for President Trump. The fours years that he was in the White House made it very clear that the American dream was not dead but was very much alive and well. And what we have seen taking place ever since then is nothing more than a never-ending attempt to forever snuff that dream out.

There is only one way to salvage this country, and that is to present a united front against those who are so desperate to destroy it. We need to unite as one behind the one man who has proven he is up to the task, because he’s done it. And if he was not the one, why the concerted effort to destroy him, an effort that continues to this day. And sadly, it’s many on our side who have demonstrated a great willingness to join in that same effort to destroy the man. All in an effort to prevent him from running and to clear the field for those who claim to be better alternatives to President Trump.

So, since it’s become painfully obvious that we can’t rely on any of these presidential wannabes to do what’s necessary, I’m afraid that’s going to be left to we the people to come riding to the rescue of our country and do what it is that we all know needs to be done. If they can’t bring themselves to put the country above their individual political careers, then we’ll just need to make sure that they don’t have a career. And if they can’t unite behind President Trump, then we the people are going to have to. We are going to have to do what they refuse to, save our country!!!

REPUBLICANS, SUPPOSE THEY REALLY DID PUT THE COUNTRY FIRST???

Call me naïve, if you wish, or a dreamer, but just what is it that the Republicans could do that would remove any and all doubt that their primary objective was not the achieving of some level of individual stature or personal glory but was, instead, to make sure that our Republic survives. And what could they do to prove to the party faithful that they aren’t just about politics but are about doing those things that will guarantee that our country remains for future generations. And just what is it that those who stand not a snowball’s chance on Hell of ever becoming president could ever do to bolster support for the one guy who we know can fix what’s broken?

All of which brings me to the most recent round of polling data regarding those Republicans who have either declared themselves to be candidates in 2024 or are rumored to be about to do so. And it was this the Morning Consult’s latest Republican presidential primary tracker poll that showed President Trump maintaining a substantial lead over Gov. Ron DeSantis who has yet to even declare himself to be a candidate. The poll published on Tuesday shows that 56 percent of potential Republican primary voters back Trump for the nomination. He sits 34 points ahead of DeSantis, who has not announced a White House bid, at 22 percent.

DeSantis has gained slightly compared to last week’s poll, which had him and President Trump at 24 percent and 58 percent, respectively. Beyond President Trump and DeSantis, no other candidate commands double-digit support. Seven percent of respondents back Mike Pence, followed by Nikki Haley in fourth place with four percent. Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy is backed by three percent of the respondents, followed by Liz Cheney and Sen. Tim Scott at two percent. Scott, or so we’re told, plan to announce his intentions in the following weeks. And it was former governor Asa Hutchinson who could manage to secure even one percent of support.

Now say what you will about President Trump, but he made good on many of the promises made to us for decades by Republicans who we chose to elect to Congress and who, once safely in office, promptly forgot all of the promises that had been made to get them there. And it’s the same thing that can be said about many of those who have either thrown their hat into the ring regarding 2024 or are discussing doing so. Under President Trump America became energy independent, our border was made secure, our military was made to have no equal and relative peace was brought to the Middle East. And now here we sit in the middle of another Democrat inspired mess!

The United States is our home. We now have far too many uninvited guests here who are essentially eating us out of house and home and pushing for even more ‘free stuff’ on a daily basis. There is now a flood of unwelcome, uninvited guests who are breaking our laws and who are a threat to our citizens. Our enemies are laughing at us, and they see us as weak. We have a military who, instead of ensuring the proper level of readiness and preparedness, is more worried about achieving the proper level of wokeness. And we are now hearing our food and the way of life we have grown used to is going to drastically change and we gave no one permission for any of it.

Now suppose the message that would be sent, especially to those who are so fearful that we’re losing the country, if it was all of those who are very clearly suffering from delusions of grandeur were to unite behind the man who, according to most polling data, is the man that most Republicans want to see as their candidate in 2024, and by a rather wide margin. Think about it, what would such an act do to stymie the many baseless accusations that continue to be directed at the man from both the Democrats and their minions throughout the ‘fake news’ media. It would make a united front and make all of the disinformation against President Trump, moot!

We had a good steward in President Trump and he was pushed out because he put America First. Our home was in order. We know he can do what he says because he did it before. Despite all the negative publicity and ridiculous investigations and impeachments during his first term, President Trump was polling higher in his third year than Joey is today. And higher again in his fourth year. Joey came in at 56 percent approval, had glowing publicity, and now sits at 30 percent. Circumstances are now much different than they were in 2020. America has been made to fall very far in a very short period of time, and farther than most would have thought possible.

As I mentioned earlier, wouldn’t it be nice if it could be those on our side that make the country, and not the party, or individual egos, the top priority here. Our country is being destroyed before our very eyes and we have this petty squabbling going on between the various candidates who have virtually no chance of being the one chosen to try to fix any of it. If only all parties concerned were to choose to put their big boy/big girl pants on and get fully behind President Trump it would do much to get us headed in the right direction. Then once we have the country on an even keel, they could go back to their squabbling. But until then we need to keep our shit together.

And perhaps if the Republicans were to unite behind President Trump it would cause a chain reaction, of a sort, and prompt even more Americans to get behind him. After all the misery that this country will have been subjected to by the end of Joey’s term you would think that most Americans would be willing to do just about anything if it meant, in the end, they were able to salvage what’s left of the country. Love him, or hate him, you cannot argue that President Trump does not love this country. And it is Joey who, very clearly, does not. And so, the time has now come for us all to stand together against the forces of darkness with President Trump leading the charge!

On a more personal note, I have supported President Trump twice in the past, and I will vote for him again, because he’s not a politician. He is an American who understands the sacrifices those who came before us have made so America is a free, safe and prosperous country to live in. I do not want to see that future destroyed for my grandchildren, by a politician. President Trump as a human being and as such is not perfect, no one is. But that said, President Trump is just what we need at this time in our history. I will only vote for President Trump to force a choice between the dumpster fire that is Joey’s America and Trump’s America that is both free and safe.

WILL 2022 PROVE TO BE OUR LAST CHANCE TO START TAKNG OUR COUNTRY BACK, OR ONLY SERVE AS BEING ANOTHER MISSED OPPORTUNITY???

Democrats now seem to be behaving much like rats deserting their sinking ship and choosing to abandon that which is essentially a fiasco of their own making and taking the coward’s way out rather than face the wrath of their voters back home. And with that there is now much talk about how the Republicans may make near historic gains in the next election making it possible for them to regain control of Congress. Now granted, much can still happen before the next election, and it is far from a foregone conclusion that the Republicans will actually regain control of the House, of the Senate, of both or of neither. Although at the rate these Democrats are jumping ship, they must be fairly certain of what it is that lies ahead for them in roughly 12 months.

And so it would at least appear that Nancy Pelosi’s ambition of keeping the Democrats in control of the House, by even the slimmest of margins, beyond the midterm elections next year are dwindling, as we’re seeing this mass exodus of vulnerable Democrats announcing plans that they are leaving their current seats to either retire or seek a different office instead of fighting in a brutal reelection. Republicans only need to net five seats to gain control of the House after the midterms. So far a total of 18 Democrats have decided to officially call it quits, and have left their seats open for a fight, giving Republicans a chance to gain another seat since House Republicans only need to net five seats to gain the majority and retire Pelosi as Speaker.

Vulnerable Democrats will be facing tough reelection battles all across the county, having to campaign in districts that more than likely have different lines after redistricting in addition to their having sided with *president ‘Creepy Joe’ Biden on many key partisan issues, that have resulted in escalating gas prices, empty store shelves and rapidly rising inflation. Also, they have willingly lashed themselves very firmly to ‘Creepy Joe’ who’s approval numbers, after only holding office for ten months have, very significantly, tanked and for reasons already stated. With the news of retirements and members seeking other offices, there is rumored to be more Democrats considering abandoning ship in the months leading up to the election.

In addition, there have been reports of Pelosi herself contemplating leaving elected office. If these Democrats were such staunch supporters of their radical agenda why do they not stay and fight for what they claim to believe in. Instead, they cut and run, like the cowards that they are. Mike Berg, the spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee, which is in charge of helping Republican incumbents and winning back the House majority, has that, “Nobody wants to run as a House Democrat this cycle because all Democrats’ majority has given the American people is higher prices, skyrocketing crime, and open borders.” Which begs the question, what were they thinking when they were supporting such things?

Now I’m quite sure that everyone is very much aware of how we have been told many times before that Pelosi’s majority is on the verge of crumbling, and it never quite comes to pass. Democrats have struggled to find new candidates to run in some congressional districts, along with some Democrat recruits dropping out of races. This comes as some members are yet to announce their intentions for next year, which will continue to make it increasingly difficult for Pelosi to maintain her majority. In September, a report from Politico outlined that House Democrats spent their last two elections (2018 and 2020) talking about their achievements unseating members in red districts, which have since gotten far more competitive over the years.

But here’s the thing, even if we do succeed in getting rid of as many of these Democrats as we can, it solves only part of what has become our continuing problem. Even if the Republicans do win the House and/or the Senate, what will they do with their newfound power? Recent history should cause us all to call into question their willingness to be tough. Will the Republicans, of which, a substantial number remain RINOs, merely squawk, make noise, make all manner of threat and ultimately, in the end, do nothing! Will they, as is usually the case, all sound quite impressive and make people feel good for a bit, only again to disappoint and the people come to realize that once again they have wasted their votes. Only time will tell, I suppose.

Also, watching the entire Republican ‘leadership’ teams in both the House and Senate during the Trump administration made it very clear that all are in obvious need of being removed from their positions and replaced with genuine conservatives. Either that happens or we must accept the fact that very little, or nothing, will actually be changed. Our band of RINOs, in particular McConnell and McCarthy, are responsible for our losing Congress in 2020. These so-called leaders did little more than to sit on their hands in the spring of 2020 when the Democrats worked to changes voting rules in numerous states without going through their state’s legislatures. These RINOs made clear that they could not care less about our traditions of freedom and liberty.

And so, as important as the defeat of the Democrats may be, it’s the defeat of every RINO in the House in the 2022 primaries, along with every RINO in the Senator running for re-election, that is even more important, even crucial, if we are to save our country. The Democrats may be presenting us with a great opportunity, one where we can kill two birds with one stone. Then in the general election we must fight for every vote and with luck we will achieve super majorities in both the House and the Senate. But even then, without a change in leadership nothing will change. Nothing will be repealed. There will be no investigations or hearings. There will only spending and more spending. And within a couple years the Democrats will win it all back.

I must say that I do worry about the tendency of the Republicans to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, courtesy of what has been their total lack of political courage and their mindless corporate incompetence. And will the RNC again ensure Democrats are elected directly, or indirectly, with Republican candidates that are actually Democrats? We need to primary most every Republican in the House, even if the Republican Party does regain the majority. Too many Republicans are liberal wolves and sell outs that do not possess deep conservative convictions, morals, or ethics, they just take the course of least resistance. Don’t celebrate until we have proven conservatives, ‘Republican’ is no longer a trustworthy label.

Again, having the Republicans take back House, and the Senate is all well and good, but the real question remains, what will they do with that majority should they get it? Whomever it is that ends up in the leadership positions must adopt the ‘America First’ agenda or else the win will be all for naught. Republicans only pandering to their numerous special Interest groups while ignoring main street America will only confirm ‘Washington Politics’ is yet to be exterminated. The Republicans in both houses of Congress have many fences to mend, and if fortunate enough to regain some level power in the next election they must work to do so. Heads must roll for all the corruption, treason and misinformation/propaganda that has taken place.

SOMETIMES, I TRULY DO WONDER ABOUT THOSE ON OUR SIDE!

GIVE ME A BREAK! It never ceases to amaze me just how flipping gullible our Republican members of the Senate continue to be. I'm getting so freaking tired of these guys' willingness to keep taking it in the a** I just want to scream! The most recent example of this namby-pamby mentality came from Tom Coburn who went on NBC's "Meet the Press," yesterday and actually said that Barry "Almighty" "is moving in the right direction" by meeting with Republicans in search of bipartisan solutions to the nation's problems: "I'm proud of him for doing it, but it shouldn't be news." Hey Tom, he's playing you like an old Stradivarius! Wake up and smell the BULLSHIT!

You see, old Tom, here, was one of those 12 morons who saw fit to wine and dine with Barry at some swanky, high-dollar, restaurant only last Wednesday. He went on to say, "I think he gets it, and I think he's genuinely reaching out." Me thinks old Tom might have had a touch too much wine, or something! Because then he said, "I think the president is tremendously sincere. I don't think this is just a political change in tactic. I think he actually would like to solve the problems of the country, and it would be to his benefit and, certainly, to every American's benefit if he did that." Come on, really? Man, these guys are dead, they just don't know it yet!

Old Tom also said during this same interview, that if Barry were to quit poking his finger in Republicans' eyes and start building relationships with them, "I think he's got a great chance to accomplish a big deal." Blah, blah, blah. Barry only wants to "build relationships" with Republicans just long enough to convince them to bend over so he can put it to them again. I just don't get it! It's absolutely infuriating! Look, even a complete imbecile should be able to fully recognize the fact that Berry derives a great deal of pleasure from poking his finger in Republicans' eyes by essentially blaming everything that has gone wrong in the last 4 years, on them.

Coburn also told NBC's David 'The Douche Bag' Gregory that the problem in Washington isn't disagreement, it's too much agreement: "So, look, the real problem, David, is Washington is dysfunctional, but it's dysfunctional in a dysfunctional way. Members of Congress and the administration agree on too much: We agree on spending money we don't have; we agree on not oversighting the programs that should be oversighted. We agree on continuing to spend money on programs that don't work or are ineffective." Frankly I'm nit sure what old Tom is trying to say here. If everyone's agreeing on the same crap, who are we supposed to count on to oppose any of it?

As for last week's meeting with Barry, Coburn said he learned that the president is going to start explaining to the American people about entitlement reform: "I mean, we all know you put in $1 for Medicare and get out $3.30. We understand that. But nobody has ever talked to the American public about that, and nobody has led on that issue as far as our president wanting to change it." Right Tom, if you believe any of that I've got some prime ocean view property in Arizona I could let you have really, really cheap. I'll even throw in the Grand Canyon cause you're a nice guy. The only thing Barry is going to be saying about entitlements is that the Republicans want to take them away!

And then over on ABC’s "This Week," with George "Stefy" Stephanopoulos, we Sen. Ron Johnson say he thinks "most Republicans are more than willing to work with this president." Ok, maybe that's true, but the only thing that Barry wants to do to them is to knife them in the back. And yet, that thought never really seem to enter their little pea brains! He also said that the Republican senators' dinner meeting with Obama last week was honest, frank and complete. "President Obama opened it up, really prioritizing the problems. Certainly, made the point that it's health care, it's Medicare." I'm embarrassed for these guys. Barry seems to have them eating out of his hand.

Johnson added, "The point I made to him is, you know, Mr. President, you are in a unique position to be able to make sure the American people understand that. We're not going to be able to solve these very difficult problems unless we start laying the groundwork and preparing the American people for the solutions." Johnson said he got a call from Barry's chief of staff over the weekend to discuss "what we need to do" to move forward: "So you know, I'll certainly give the president the benefit of the doubt." Sorry, but to give Barry the benefit of the doubt on anything is a mistake that could, very well, prove to be fatal, politically speaking. It's an unnecessary risk.

And then we had some airhead from Bloomberg News, somebody by the name of Julianna Goldman, who also made an appearance with old "Stefy". She attempted to make it quite plain that, at least in her esteemed opinion, in order to achieve what Washington calls a "grand bargain" on deficit reduction, Republicans are going to have to accept higher taxes and Democrats are going to have to accept entitlement reforms. Somebody really needs to sit down and explain to this bimbo that the Republicans have already accepted higher taxes, what's needed now are 'REAL', and substantial, spending cuts and entitlement reforms!

I'll tell you what I'd like to see. And that's for the Republicans to start playing this game the same way Barry and the Democrats play it. Because that's the only way ANYTHING is going to get done. Granted it may be a little painful for a while, but what the Hell is the alternative? This whole entire thing is nothing more than an exercise in complete insanity. I simply cannot believe that these guys are willing to allow themselves to get sucked in yet again, over a meal that was most likely passed on to the taxpayers to cover. What's underway here is nothing more than one monumental snow job, and once again our guys seem to be only too willing to fall for it.

Look, what needs to take place here is that those on our side need to explain to Barry, one more time, what needs to be done and make it clear that they are willing to do whatever is necessary within that framework to get the economy moving again. They also need to make it quite clear that he's had his chance for the last four years and has succeeded in doing nothing more than to make matters much, much worse. And in presenting their own ideas they must also make it clear to the American people that as much as they might wish it were so, America is not a socialist country so therefore socialist attempts to fix it aren't going to work. Oh, and by the way, they’ve never worked ANYWHERE!

REPUBLICANS TOO EXTREME? REALLY?

Well my fellow Republicans, this may come as a bit of a shock to you all but apparently we are now considered as being a bit too extreme by those who make up a majority of our fellow Americans. And strangely enough, it would seem that while many Tea Party activists have become increasingly disillusioned with Republicans for, you know, being a little too willing to sell out their principles, stranger still is the fact that a majority of Americans as a whole, don’t appear to agree on the need for a harder line from Republicans. In fact, if a new poll from CNN is anywhere near being accurate, the country may want Republicans to simply back down even more. The poll, taken between December 16 and 18, shows some alarming statistics for Republicans, especially those concerned about negotiations over the fiscal cliff.

From CNN’s writeup: "According to the survey, 53% say the GOP should compromise more, with 41% saying the Democratic Party should give up more of the proposals it supports to develop bipartisan solutions.[...] Fifty-three percent of those surveyed say they view the policies of the GOP as too extreme, up 17 points from two years ago. Only 37% say they view the polices of the Democratic Party as too extreme. It probably doesn’t help that House Speaker John Boehner, who’s leading GOP fiscal cliff negotiations with the president, is held in fairly low regard, particularly in comparison to Obama. According to the poll, 34% of the public approves of how the top Republican in the House handling his job. By contrast, the president’s approval rating stands at 52%."

These numbers may strike some people as alarming, and I guess with some justification. However, when Glenn Beck’s website, TheBlaze, took its own look at the poll numbers, there were what some considered as being bright spots and unexplained issues with the numbers, which should come as no surprise, since such is usually the case whenever we’re dealing with CNN. For instance, a majority of Americans are glad Republicans control the House of Representatives, in spite of and apparently at the same time, thinking their policy choices may be too extreme. Moreover, while Republicans have been in much better positions in terms of public perception of their policies in the past, Democrats have consistently bested them in ‘appearing’ more mainstream to the public, even at the height of the 2010 Tea Party wave.

Nevertheless, at the height of that wave, only 36 percent of the country viewed the GOP as too extreme, with 58 percent thinking their views were generally mainstream. That number has almost completely reversed, with 53 percent viewing the GOP as too extreme now, and 43 percent viewing them as generally mainstream. Yet for strategists who may want to correct this problem, the poll offers little guidance. CNN’s poll director observed that the numbers reflect a damaged GOP brand, but the poll does not test particular Republican policies for a perception of extremism. Rather, it simply lumps all those policies together under the Republican umbrella. As such, Republicans would come away from the poll knowing that their brand is damaged and that Americans view them as too extreme, but with no idea why.

So the question is, do the majority of Americans actually want nothing more than for us to kick the fiscal can further down the road instead of at least attempting to take the necessary actions now to correct things. Do they prefer that we, at this point, simply leave things as they are for our kids to figure out later and to then try to fix? I mean exactly is it that this poll is even telling us? Is it that a majority of Americans feel that there is no real urgency in dealing with our current financial mess? Is the fact that we have already had our credit rating lowered once, and may be on the verge of yet another reduction just not something they’re all that worried about? And I guess it’s ok with a majority of Americans that we just keep on printing money like there’s no tomorrow? But there is a tomorrow, and it’s insane to think we can keep on going like this.

Lastly, I find it as being somewhat shocking, even disgusting, that 52 percent of the American people can actually bring themselves to approve of the way that a man, who has no problem with using the death of 20 children to further his own political agenda, is doing his job. He has done so in trying to both bring about tougher gun laws and in trying to convince Republicans to cave on taxes in regards to the ‘fiscal cliff.’ That’s, my friends is the definition of someone who is extreme. And what does having such an opinion say about our society? As Americans, what are our priorities these days? Our country is going down the tubes, and it is not the fault of ‘extreme’ Republicans. And the fact that a majority of Americans insist on walking around with blinders on should not deter the rest of us from doing what we know is right!

IS THIS WHY WE HANDED THE REPUBLICANS THE HOUSE IN 2010?

This November, besides getting rid of Barry “Almighty”, by the grace of God, we’re apparently going to have some work to do in reminding some of our Republican members of Congress why it is , exactly, that they are there. Because so far I've not been very impressed with our less than stellar leadership, viewing it as not doing such a bang up job. In the House, where we actually have a majority, Boehner, Cantor and McCarthy, have fallen far short of expectations. For me the final straw came on Thursday when the Republican-majority House of Representatives passed a $1.047 trillion bill funding the federal government through March 2013. That little piece of legislation will permit funding for Planned Parenthood and Obamacare, including the regulation that took effect on Aug. 1 that will require virtually all health plans in the United States to cover, without fees or co-pay, sterilizations and all FDA-approved contraceptives, including those that induce abortions. The vote was 329-91, and the bill now goes to the Senate next week where the Democrat majority is expected to approve it.

What this bill does, and what makes very little sense to me, is to fund the government for six months into the new fiscal year and for almost five months after the November elections. Congress once again turned to the favored stop-gap process after failing to pass any of the 12 appropriation bills necessary to fund day-to-day government operations. The Catholic bishops of the United States have unanimously declared the Obamacare sterilization-contraception-abortifacient regulation an "unjust and illegal mandate" that violates the right to free exercise of religion not only of Catholic institutions but also of Catholic business owners and workers. The bill, yet another continuing resolution (CR), does not prohibit funding for either Obamacare programs or Planned Parenthood. Nor does it stop the government from enforcing regulations, such as the mandate from the Health and Human Services Department that nearly all health insurance plans provide contraceptives, sterilizations, and abortion-inducing drugs free of charge. So what's changed since when "Botox" Nancy was in charge?

John Boehner, our 'Speaker Without A Spine', who apparently feels the need to go along to get along, supports the CR as do the other less than impressive members of the GOP leadership. Boehner, earlier this year described the health insurance mandate as an “unambiguous attack on religious freedom in our country” and a violation of the First Amendment protecting the free exercise of religion. And yet, this bill sails through the House. This ,most recent CR does prohibit the government from initiating any new programs or using the $1.047 trillion in the bill to carry out any programs or functions it was not engaged in during fiscal year 2012. And the resolution extends for six months the federal pay freeze enacted in FY 2012 and the welfare reform legislation enacted in 1996. Further, while the bill does prohibit grant programs that spend their allocations all at once--block and other types of grant programs--from doing so with the money allocated in this bill, it does allow the government to continue executing the functions under Obamacare that it was carrying out last year and that Congress had funded.

And, interestingly enough, what the bill does not do is to prohibit funding of Planned Parenthood, that wonderful little organization which serves essentially as nothing more the nation's largest functioning abortion factory. I find it appalling that according to its 2009-2010 annual report, Planned Parenthood received more than $480 million in taxpayer money from the federal government; and according to its own little fact sheet, Planned Parenthood performed a staggering 329,455 abortions in 2010 alone. And the bill represents a slight increase in spending over fiscal year 2012--about $4 billion--keeping to the spending cap outlined in the Budget Control Act of 2011. But it's still $4 billion that we don't have. The CR is a product of a deal announced in July between "Spineless" John Boehner and "Dingy" Harry Reid to extend federal spending past both the November election and the following lame-duck session of Congress. I simply don't understand this overwhelming need that our guys have for wanting to bend over in front of the Democrats.

Believe me when I say there is nothing that I want more than the defeat of Barack Hussein Obama. But, what this most recent budget 'compromise' vote proves to me is that we still have much work to do in our own party as well. I was very disappointed to that our candidate for vice president voted for this bill. It just don't seem to go along with a lot of what he says about our rabid spending And it's actions such as this that tell people that it doesn't matter who they vote for, that one party seems to be just as corrupt as the other. And I suppose I can't really fault someone for thinking that way. In terms of this coming election, there must be a very clear, even stark, difference presented in demonstrating how the two parties wish to conduct the nation's business. We must show that we are determined to live within our means. There is a budget process very clearly outlined in our Constitution, and yet for 4 years now we've never had actual federal budget. The Republicans must be able to convince voters that we, unlike the Democrats, are the party of fiscal responsibility.

GUTLESS REPUBLICANS NO BETTER THAN CORRUPT DEMOCRATS…

So much for doing whatever is necessary regardless of the political consequences. Isn't that what Speaker Boehner said not all that long ago? My, my, what a difference a year makes. Because as we are now hearing from Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), he tells us not to expect that Congress to be acting anytime soon to cut off funding for Obamacare or Planned Parenthood. That's because our stellar House Republican leadership is afraid of the threat of a showdown with Senate Democrats and the president. They’re afraid that Republicans would be blamed for any ensuing government shutdown. Isn't there an old saying that says, "No guts no glory." Why is it that we are constantly saddled with these spineless cowards? They insist upon putting their political careers above what actually best for the country.

Rep. King said the House GOP leadership have essentially provided themselves with a fall back. He says that if asked, they would essentially do nothing more than to take the coward's way out, saying that they did pass a repeal of Obamacare, and would blame the Senate, which didn’t take up the measure. But King also said something that should really come as no big surprise, saying that House Republicans “didn’t use the leverage that we should have used.” Adding in an interview, “We didn’t bring up the maximum leverage because the decision was made by leadership to avoid the prospect of a showdown with the president or Harry Reid that could result in a potential shutdown of government.” So I guess it's just better to keep the bus headed toward the cliff with no attempt, whatsoever, to reach for the brake.

Rep. King went on to say, “And that rationale – and it wasn’t my rationale – is what brings us to this point -- that we’re still funding Obamacare to the tune of $23.6 billion dollars in the first two years, we’re trying to find $1.2 trillion in cuts, there’s $1.379 trillion in cuts that are there automatically if we just cut off the existing programs within Obamacare and resolve the problem with the Super-committee,” he said. “Well, it isn’t going to happen because of the threat of a showdown being a threat of a potential shutdown and they’re afraid that Republicans will be blamed -- same situation with Planned Parenthood,” he told the news organization, CNSNews.com. So just because of the possibility of a potential threat, our spineless leadership chooses, instead, to simply back down. Does this make any sense to anybody?

Rep. King believes that those who were in Congress in 1995 when the government was shut down “got a certain lesson from that, that the president would always win when it was a confrontation between House Republicans and the president.” “I don’t agree,” he added. King said the situation brings to mind American author Mark Twain. “It was Mark Twain that wrote the story about how once the cat sits on a hot stove lid, he will never sit on a hot stove lid again, and then he pauses and writes, he will never sit on a cold one, either. I think we have a cold stove lid here,” King said. And I could not agree more! Because back in 1995 we were in a far different place than where we now find ourselves. We are now in a much more precarious situation. Our credit rating has been downgraded for the first time in our history, and we are now officially broke.

The Iowa congressman would not completely rule out the possibility of the House leadership changing its mind, but, he said, the chances are remote to say the least. “Well, there’s always a possibility, but I think it would have to come from some type of public calamity that would move people similar to the way that the ACORN tapes moved people and we shut off the funding to ACORN,” King also told CNSNews.com. “Short of that, I don’t think there’s going to be a rational thought process that thinks this through and decides the right thing to do is to cut off the funding to Obamacare and cut off the funding to Planned Parenthood.” This is not leadership by any nearly anyone's definition. And until we can manage to acquire some bona fide leaders with the requisite stiffness of spine, we're going to continue to get royally screwed!

Our congressional leaders, at least in the House, seem to have what can only be described as being a rather uncanny ability to always shoot themselves in both feet. The last I saw, nearly 75% of Americans now oppose Obamacare. Therefore, Republicans would have had the support of the American people in cutting off funding for Obamacare. Rep. King said. “I think the American public would have sided with us, and if we had held our ground on shutting off the funding to Obamacare in particular, as well as funding Planned Parenthood, because it puts the president and Harry Reid and the Democrats in the position of having to defend Obamacare as more important than all of the rest of the functions of government combined.” Adding, “They will not win that argument, but we were not as a body willing to make it in a place where we had a chance to succeed legislatively."

In fact, Rep. King went so far as to say that he remains confident that there are still enough votes in the House to repeal funding for Obamacare and Planned Parenthood. “If the repeal of Obamacare went up on the floor, every Republican would vote for the repeal of it. Cutting all funding, same thing, especially if it was written by the Speaker or the Majority Leader, and of course, we don’t expect that will happen.” Congress last week passed a continuing resolution enabling the government to continue operations for another month. It contained funding for both the Affordable Care Act and for Planned Parenthood. So my question to our supposed House leadership would be, "WHY?" So once again, during this reign of Barry "Almighty," the American people are left to simply bend over and spread 'em. Personally I'm getting pretty tired of taking it in the shorts for no other reason than because our Republican "leadership" in Congress is comprised of a bunch of cowards.

BOEHNER, A FAILURE OF LEADERSHIP…OR SOMETHING ELSE?

It would appear that our stellar Republican leadership, those who have proclaimed that they have heard the voice American people and understand their frustration, attempted to pass a continuing resolution through the House of Representatives on Wednesday afternoon that would have permitted, not only, funding for Obamacare implementation and Planned Parenthood, but also funding to the United Nations Population Fund and, of all things, the allowing of funding to the Palestinian Authority to continue on into the new federal fiscal year that begins on October 1. Imagine my surprise! So I now find myself asking, just whose side is it that these guys are on? Look, I've never been a big Boehner fan, I've always seen him as being a bit wobbly and not having much of a spine. And all that crying stuff has nothing do to with that perception. I had thought, however, that Cantor, at least by the tone of his frequent rhetoric, was a bit stronger. Maybe I was severely mistaken.

Thankfully, the bill went down in flames, 195 to 230, when 48 House conservatives joined with 182 House Democrats in voting against it. Who says Democrats are good for nothing. Among the leading conservatives opposing the bill were Rep. Steve King (R.-Iowa), Rep. Louie Gohmert (R.-Texas), Rep. Joe Walsh (R.-Ill.), Rep. Jeff Flake (R.-Ariz.), Rep. Trent Franks (R.-Ariz.) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R.-0hio), the chairman of the House Republican Study Committee, which is the organization of House conservatives. Sadly though, one of my favorites in the House, Allen West, chose to support it as did my own representative, Ander Crenshaw. Even Paul Ryan supported it. How are we supposed to believe these people when they do something that so completely contradicts all of the things that they have said and continue to say? By the way, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R.-Minn.) and Rep. Ron Paul (R.-Texas), who are both campaigning for president, did not vote. We can only assume how they might have voted.

While the rationale for voting against the bill varied with party affiliation, the important thing is that it went down to defeat, and hopefully will be rewritten in a much more appropriate manner to more accurately address concerns of conservatives. The Democrats objected to the bill because it would have offset new money for disaster relief at the Federal Emergency Management Agency by cutting $1.5 billion from the $25-billion Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Loans program that provides government-subsidized financing to automakers. The failed CR, promoted by House Speaker John Boehner (R.-Ohio) and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R.-Va.), was a temporary measure designed to fund the entire government through November 18. During that time, it would have funded the government at an annualized rate just $7 billion less than the level of federal spending for fiscal 2011--but $24 billion more than the Republican-controlled House approved in the budget resolution they passed earlier this year.

However, with that said, the spending level authorized by the proposed CR was at exactly the level of the maximum spending cap House Speaker Boehner and Barry "Almighty" agreed to in the deal they struck last month to increase the limit on the federal debt by as much as $2.4 trillion. An analysis of the CR published by the conservative House Republican Study Committee should have been a show stopper for this thing from the get go as it made very clear that the CR, “continues funding for the United Nations Populations Fund (UNFPA), the UN agency known for its involvement in China’s brutal one-child policy. It also continues $300 million in annual funding to the Title X family planning program, which is a prime funding source for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.” I'm not sure if I'm more confused or disappointed in these folks who say they understand my frustration and want to fix things, and then they turn around and put forward something like this. Well, which is it?

The study-committee analysis pointed out that in addition to permitting funding of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s leading abortion provider, the Republican-leadership-backed CR also permitted more than $2 billion in additional funding for domestic birth control and international population control through Medicaid and foreign aid programs. “Note that Medicaid also provides $1.4 billion in family planning assistance to low income individuals,” said the analysis. “The CR also continues to provide international population control funds at a rate of $575 million per year.” These are astronomical amount of money that we cannot afford to be spending. And if the current leadership can seem to understand that fact, then maybe it's time for some new leadership. I read somewhere recently that Mr. Boehner would be facing a primary challenge the next time around. I think that's terrific! While I'm sure Boehner will mostly win election, hopefully it will be close enough to throw a little scare into him!

The CR pushed by the Republican leaders did not include some of the key spending policy changes sought by conservatives. “Some conservatives may be concerned that the legislation does not block funding for Obamacare during the period covered by the legislation,” said the study-committee analysis. It also would have permitted federal funding to continue to flow to abortion providers, the Legal Services Corporation, and the Palestinian Authority, which does not recognize the right of Israel to exist. “The legislation does not include many other ‘riders’ that conservatives have advocated during the appropriations process,” said the Republican Study Committee analysis. “This includes a ban on funding for abortion providers, prohibiting funds for various new environmental regulations, and prohibiting funds for Net Neutrality regulations. The legislation provides the same funding formula for most programs, with final funding levels left to November 18, 2011 for individual program levels. This means that the CR continues to provide funding for many programs that conservatives would object to, such as NRR, the Palestinian Authority, and Legal Services Corporation."

Planned Parenthood, which would have continued receiving federal tax dollars under the Republican-leadership CR, aborted 332,278 babies in 2009, according to its most recent annual report. It also received $363.2 million in government money in its organizational fiscal year that ended in June 2009. A Planned Parenthood spokesman told Bloomberg Businessweek that 90 percent of that $363 million in government money came directly from the federal government or from Medicaid, a federal-state program. At its 2009 pace of 332,278 abortions per year, Planned Parenthood aborts 910 babies per day. At that rate, the organization could have aborted 44,590 babies during the 49 days the Republican-leadership-backed CR would have permitted it to continue taking in federal tax dollars. That it continues to receive federal funding which allows it to commit murder at such a level is simply unconscionable. And how can those who claim to conservatives support such a thing?

So, is what we have here a failure of leadership or is it something much worse. Are we simply being given lip service as those we are relying upon in Congress simply go about business as usual? We are rapidly running out of time to get things turned around, and if those who claim to be on our side are incapable to doing what has now become necessary, or simply refuse to do so, then a new tactic will have to be devised and put into action. And soon! Either these "leaders" are going to be willing to be part of the solution or they are going to be steadfast in their effort to remain part of the problem. The choice will soon not be their to make. We the people may be forced into making the decision for them. In the words of George Bush, either these people are with us or they are against us in this ongoing attempt to rescue our country from where it is presently headed. We are in a very steep, downward spiral and simply cannot afford to put our trust in those who haven't the stomach to do what's needed. It is now make it or break it time. We are officially now out of options.

IF REPUBLICANS GO ALONG WITH THIS, THEY'RE OFFICIALLY DONE...

Barry "Almighty" has now thrown his support behind the proposal by the latest Senate gang, this time it's the "Gang of Six" senators, saying it was broadly consistent with his approach on reducing debt and deficits. And you gotta know that if Barry likes it can't be good for either the country of for the American people in general. He has urged Senate Majority Leader "Dingy" Harry Reid, a fellow Democrat, and Senate Republican leader Mitch "Spineless" McConnell to get started "talking turkey" about it. Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad, another scumbag Democrat and one of the six Democratic and Republican senators who have been working since December on a deficit-reduction plan, said the proposed $3.75 trillion in savings over 10 years contains $1.2 trillion in new revenues. I'm just wondering if the "savings" this moron is talking about are actual "cuts." Somehow I just don't think so. And don't you just love how these political scumbags think we're so stupid? Like we're not going to know that when they refer to new revenues what they're really talking about is new tax hikes.

The group briefed about half of the 100-member Senate and "the response was very favorable," Conrad told reporters. Hopefully he's talking about just the Democrat half. Because if the Republican half were favorable to this they're doing themselves, or the country, no favors. He said the group asked that fellow senators take 24 hours to look over the proposal and "report back to us." According to an executive summary of the plan, it would immediately impose $500 billion in deficit cuts, cut security and non-security spending over 10 years with spending caps, make the Medicare and Medicaid healthcare programs operate more efficiently and abolish the Alternative Minimum Tax. In short, it comes nowhere near to addressing the problem on the level that it presently needs to be addressed. Asked whether the plan could become part of urgent negotiations that link deficit reduction to raising the U.S. government's borrowing authority by August 2, Conrad said: "Could the two get married? Could they get combined at some point? I'm sure that's possible." It had better not be possible, on any level!

Conrad was quick to say that while there are $1.2 trillion in new revenues, the overall plan envisions a $1.5 trillion tax cut that would be achieved through broad tax reforms. Empty rhetoric designed to nothing more than to pacify. Most Republicans, especially Tea Party members in the House of Representatives, have already vowed to block any revenue increases, and if they're smart they'll stick to that. The Senate group's hope has been that if the three conservative Republican members embrace revenue increases, the idea could catch fire among other Republicans in the Senate and House, especially if popular but expensive entitlement programs such as Medicare also shoulder some cuts. If any Republican members chooses to "embrace" this thing, then we'll know one thing for certain, he or she is not a conservative. In what is portrayed as being another politically risky move, the Gang of Six plan would achieve significant savings in healthcare programs, Conrad said. The specific spending cuts would be decided later by congressional committees.

Conrad said a separate measure would reform the Social Security retirement program to stabilize its finances for the next 75 years. The effort got a boost as conservative Republican Senator Tom Coburn rejoined the group after taking a "sabbatical" in mid-May amid heavy disagreement over Medicare spending cuts. It was not yet clear how Coburn's concerns have since been addressed. And if Coburn signs on to this things he's no conservative either. On Monday, Coburn unveiled his own plan to cut $9 trillion in deficits over a decade, including nearly $1 trillion in revenue increases. Revenue proposals are not likely to include income tax rate increases. Instead, they could center on repealing or rolling back special tax favors such as those for ethanol blenders and companies that operate corporate jets, as well as preferential tax treatment for fund managers. On the face of it, Coburn's own plan sound more palatable than what the "Gang of Six" has concocted.

Also those on the political left have been pressing both the White House and Congress pretty hard to inflict a wave of very substantial budget cuts for the Pentagon on a scale not seen since the post-Cold War 1990s. Liberals are now enthusiastically using the excuse of the debt crisis and present troop drawdowns from Iraq and Afghanistan to argue that now is the perfect time for the Defense Department to shed people, missions and weapons after a decade of doubling arms spending after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The proposals, including one from the ultra-Liberal Center for America Progress, go well beyond Barry "Almighty's" call in April for $400 billion in defense cuts over 12 years. The center, run by leftist loon John Podesta, who served as chief of staff to "BJ" Clinton, wants that much in reductions over the next three years and $1 trillion more from what had been projected increases over the next decade.

Some House Democrats, led by that kook and well-known "Gay Caballero," Rep. Bawney Fwank of Massachusetts, also have called for $1 trillion in cuts. “I think this is the time because of a combination of the deficit and the changing way in which we’re going to deal with threats from groups like al Qaeda,” said American Progress’ Lawrence Korb, a longtime defense analyst in Washington. Mr. Korb said the Obama administration has dumped President George W. Bush’s overall war strategy of preemptive attacks against terrorist states, and he cited just-retired Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates’ warning against any future land wars in the Middle East. The bottom line is that the center wants projected increases ended and the overall arms budget reduced to $500 billion by 2016, which would be $111 billion below the Pentagon’s already pared-down projection. “Gates said we don’t have to go back to Cold War levels,” Mr. Korb said. “Well, we’re above Cold War levels. And that’s part of the problem."

Gordon Adams, a defense budget official in the "Slick Willie" White House, told the House Budget Committee this month that Barry’s $400 billion number “is a very small step.” He endorsed, and is very much in favor of, the more than doubling of that figure. The Pentagon has not heard such outlandish "peace dividend" rhetoric since the Berlin Wall fell and Presidents "BJ" Clinton and George H.W. Bush squeezed as much as 35 percent out of intelligence and defense spending. And it readily apparent where that landed us. Anybody still remember 9/11. Not many I'm afraid! But it was after al Qaeda’s attack on the United States, that defense proponents said that such a deep downturn had been a serious mistake, leaving intelligence agencies and some aspects of the military not ready to fight a global war against terrorists. Now, they say, America is about to repeat the mistake, as China and Iran flex their muscles and radical Islam remains a global threat. So is this really the time to be quite literally slashing out defense capabilities? Apparently Bawney thinks so.

Daniel Goure, an analyst at the pro-business Lexington Institute, said the left has it entirely all wrong. The Pentagon needs more money, unless it abandons or curtails its presence in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, he said. “You’d better change our military approach to the world,” said Mr. Goure. “If you do what we did the last time, which is to essentially salami slice, take bits and pieces from everything and everybody, then you are essentially going to back where you were after Vietnam and at the end of the Cold War drawdown. Too many missions. Too many deployments. Not enough stuff. Not enough people.” But you see. All of this is of very little concern to Liberal Democrats. Democrat like Bawney and Barry could not care less if America is left very much exposed to our growing number of potential, and very real, adversaries. They view us as being deserving of whatever harm may befall us. They are a most demented group of people and what they are proposing is essentially nothing short of suicide.

That stalwart group and ardent defender of our democracy, The Center for American Progress, also proposes a list of weapons terminations and troop cutbacks. The number of V-22 tilt-rotor aircraft would be stopped at about 150. The next-generation workhorse jet fighter, the F-35 — which is mired in big cost overruns, would be bought only for the Air Force, not the Navy or Marine Corps. The Navy’s 11 carriers, a key way America projects immediate air power overseas, would be trimmed to nine, and with it other surface ships. A full third of 150,000 troops in Europe and Asia would be ordered home. “You may not be able to keep as many carriers forward-deployed,” said Mr. Korb. “You would have to surge them, but I don’t see any missions you could not do.” This is nothing short of pure, unadulterated insanity. And what really scary, at least for me, is the fact that the only thing that stand between this plan becoming a reality and it being stopped dead in it's tracks, is the Republican Party. And frankly, I'm not sure it's members in Congress are up to the task!

House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, Wisconsin Republican, released a detailed budget plan that calls for modest defense drawdowns over five years. He argued that the Defense Department’s total budget share already has decreased from 25 percent to 20 percent. A smattering of faux conservatives are advocating more shrinkage. Some Republicans on Barry's deficit commission supported cuts above $400 million. With all troops due to be pulled out of Iraq this year and Afghanistan by 2014, the Pentagon could save $100 billion annually on those two accounts alone. Mr. Gates instituted more than $100 billion in savings, although some of that money was redirected into other arms programs. I'm a not a strong proponent of anything but the most minimal cuts in defense. And I am counting on the Republicans in Congress to prevent some of these more blatantly irresponsible cuts from taking place.

The next phase is likely to be revealed in Mr. Obama’s fiscal 2013 budget in February or in some grand deficit-reduction agreement between him and Congress. Adm. Mike "Yes Man" Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said this year: “We can’t hold ourselves exempt from the belt-tightening. Neither can we allow ourselves to contribute to the very debt that puts our long-term security at risk.” Defense Secretary and "BJ" Clinton retread, Leon E. Panetta, who proved a hawkish director of the CIA, vowed to Congress that he would not let the military go hollow as it did in the late 1970s. Sure there Leon, as my dad used to say, "Talk is cheap, it takes money to buy whiskey." On July 8, he urged the White House and Congress to base cuts on a strategy. He expressed his concern about negotiators who would “just pick a number and throw it at the Defense Department without really looking at policy, without looking at what makes sense." I just don't see him as standing up to either Barry or the Democrats in Congress when it come to making what are sure to be some very excessive cuts in our national defense.

So anyway, I think the ball is going to be very firmly in the Republican's court, and the question remains, will they be up to the challenge. Past history would tell us probably not, which does not bode well for our being able to survive as that beacon of freedom for very much longer. Barry has decided that he is the one to preside over the American stature and reduce the prominent role that it had to play in world events. And that is something that does not bode well for the entire planet. The stability that had as its foundation the United States of America will be no more. The resulting chaos will cause the world to descend into what Ronald Reagan described as being "1000 years of darkness." I pity what may lie ahead for our children and our children's children. And we will have brought this all on ourselves through the election of one man and the weakness of the Republican Party to stand up to him. They remain our last line of defense against what is the obvious insanity of this man and his party. Our president and the political party of which he is a member hate our country and are determined to destroy it. GOD HELP US.
