JOHN MCCAIN A ‘WAR HERO?’ NOT SO MUCH!!!

First let me start by saying that I did not go to Vietnam.  My number was 342 in the draft lottery, the only lottery that I view myself as ever having won.  I did, however lose a friend in the war, as many of us no doubt did.  Those who chose to go, or those who were drafted, came back in flag draped coffin or with nightmares I’m sure they suffer to this day.  I doubt any came back as the same person they were upon their arrival to the war zone.  And then you also had those men who were captured as well as those who were able to finagle for themselves a shorter than average tour while garnering more than a few medals for themselves along the way.

My focus here will be on one of those men who were captured and who, upon his release from captivity, would be sent home where he, after eventually leaving active duty would go on to enjoy, courtesy of a manufactured reputation as a war hero, a successful, and very lucrative, career in the U.S. Senate.  And it’s this very same man who, to this day, still fancies himself a ‘war hero’ for doing little more than to get himself shot down over enemy territory.  A man who retired from the Navy in 1981 with plans to run for Congress, and who would go on to be elected to the Senate in 1987, succeeding a man seen by many as a true conservative, Barry Goldwater.

And I say true conservative because it has been over the course of this man’s 30 year tenure as a senator that he has gradually moved further and further to the left, and who has now decided, as he is on his way out, to take things to a more personal level with a president that many in the ‘Republican Establishment’, of which this man is one, don’t particularly care for.  And his willingness to do so reveals just how shallow of an individual he really is, and demonstrates that he would rather attempt what he views as being revenge than to take the high road and do what would be in the best interest of the American people.  Are these actions the actions of a war hero?

All of which finally brings me to the man of whom I speak, John McCain, who appeared to take a shot at President Trump in a recent interview about the Vietnam War by criticizing draft deferments granted disproportionately to the wealthy.  It was during an interview that aired on C-SPAN 3 just this past Sunday that McCain said, “One aspect of the conflict, by the way, that I will never, ever countenance is that we drafted the lowest income level of America and the highest level would get a doctor to say they had a bone spur.”  And he went on to say, “That is wrong. That is wrong. If we are going to ask every American to serve, every American should serve.”

Apparently what remains to not sit well with McCain is the fact that Trump received five deferments from the draft during the Vietnam War.  Four were granted because Trump was in college.  But the last deferment, in 1968, was because Trump was diagnosed with a bone spur in the heel of his foot.  Now perhaps Trump did take advantage of his wealth, or maybe he didn’t, but McCain’s accusations ring a little hollow in that McCain obviously wasn’t above taking advantage of the fact that both his father and grandfather were Admirals to gain for himself a leg up on his competition.  So might this be little more than the pot calling the kettle black?

McCain was a naval aviator who flew nearly two dozen missions during the Vietnam War before his final mission, in Oct. 1967, ended when he was shot down over Hanoi.  He was held in North Vietnamese prisons until March of 1973.  And it would only be much later that word would leak out how his fellow prisoner of war mates actually nicknamed him "Songbird McCain!"  The Vietnam War has been invoked before in a long-simmering battle between Trump and McCain.  In July 2015, just after Trump declared his candidacy for president, Trump denied that McCain is a war hero.  And I think, if we’re being honest, then-candidate Trump was pretty close to being right.

And it was again in just the last week that McCain once again chose to venture back onto the rhetorical battlefield with now President Trump, criticizing “half-baked, spurious nationalism cooked up by people who would rather find scapegoats than solve problems.”  McCain’s remarks, made during a speech in which McCain accepted the Liberty Medal, were seen as a direct repudiation of Trump.  Responding to McCain’s remarks the next day, President Trump said in a radio interview that “people have to be careful because at some point I fight back.”  McCain would go on to make his thinly-veiled dig at Trump’s deferment in an interview the following day.

And while ‘war hero’ McCain continues to spend a great deal of his time going out of his way trying to trash Trump, he does everything within his power to make sure that he was able to grind to a halt the most recent attempt to repeal and replace Obamacare while he himself has received, and continues to receive, nothing short of top notch medical treatment because members of Congress made themselves exempt from what us common folk are subjected to and, of course, because he has money.  And also I have yet to hear whether he intends to support the tax cuts that benefit many of us in the middle class, or if he will again act as spoiler on that issue as well.

Being no true hero, it’s like so many others in the ‘Republican Establishment’ that McCain suffers from Acute Trump Derangement Syndrome as well as his brain cancer.  McCain is Despicable, Absolutely Pathetic and Contemptible.  He constantly betrays the very people who he is supposed to represent.  Being filled with so much hate is not a good condition for the soul of someone facing death.  McCain long ago became little more than a disgrace and an embarrassment to Arizona as well as to the nation.  As a Soros stooge and a globalist he is ‘THE’ poster child for “term limits”.  And he is someone who personifies the ‘Swamp’ that is so urgently in need of being drained.

John Kerry-Heinz is another loser from the Vietnam era who has tried and failed to wear the ‘hero’ moniker.  He served for four months and used supposed injuries that were for the most part self-inflicted as a way to garner some medals for himself and to be sent home.  Then he goes before Congress and lies about our troops, essentially selling them out.  John Kerry-Heinz’s legacy is one that has him being honored by the very communists the U.S. was fighting, and for helping them win the war.  That too is not the behavior of a hero, but it is likely why Obummer chose him to be his Secretary of State, since Kerry-Heinz hates America as much as Obummer.  But then, I digress.

Anyway, it was during his last reelection campaign that McCain ran as being a leader in bringing about the end of Obamacare. But of course that was when everyone was so sure that the next president was going to be Hitlery.  So instead McCain chose to save it.  McCain is one of the major reasons that the majority of people no longer trust politicians to do the right thing.  He always manages to do the wrong thing whether we‘re talking about Obamacare, illegal immigration/the border, or nearly any other issue that is important to those of us who identify as conservatives.  McCain has never really been the guy that he’s always portrayed himself as being.  Far from it.

And if you doubt that, it’s according to Col. Ted Guy, John McCain’s commander as a POW, that McCain was known to have collaborated with the enemy and also has been accused of doing the following:
1.  McCain is accused of giving information that led to the downing of 60 U.S. aircraft.
2.  McCain is accused of training North Vietnamese air defense personnel.
3.  McCain is accused of making over 30 propaganda broadcasts against the US, broadcasts he moved to have classified when he was elected to the Senate.

Our government never officially briefed our returning POWs about the egregious violations of the Paris Peace Accords, by both Hanoi and Washington DC.  Washington refused to pay the $4.25 Billion President Nixon secretly promised in a February 1, 1973 letter to Premier Pham Van Dong and Hanoi failed to release the other group of 600 US POWs they were holding as an insurance policy against these funds.  And had the truth been told to our returning heroes, they would have undoubtedly led the charge for the return of their comrades.  Instead they were sent out to America's heartland as the war heroes we so desperately needed, McCain and Ted Guy included.

But Guy, as he began to read the new revelations that began surfacing in the 1980’s, had by 1991, seen enough.  By then he realized that he had been lied to, and that we had knowingly left men behind.  And it was with other former POWs that he went around DC trying to get the government to reverse policy and negotiate for those still being held in Vietnam and Laos.  It was then that McCain entered into the picture and as more new information surfaced showing that indeed we had left men behind, McCain began a long and rather vicious campaign to discredit and shoot down any new information or anyone advocating that the truth about our POWs be made public.

And yet this is the man that so many still refer to today as being a ‘war hero’.  This is a man who continues to put his petty political disagreements with the president above the needs of the American people, many of whom still look upon him as a bona fide war hero.  While he may have had the best of intentions when first elected, somehow I doubt it.  Either way he has become little more than a very vindictive old man, who long ago ceased being someone worthy of anyone’s respect.  And it’s sad that the people of Arizona were unable to recognize that fact and sadder still that the only way we will finally come to be rid of John McCain is when he dies.

JOHN MCCAIN…POSTER CHILD FOR ‘ALL’ THAT’S WRONG IN WASHINGTON…

The ongoing process to reduce the United States into nothing more than a third rate banana republic which was first begun by ex-president Barry Obummer seems to have now been kicked into overdrive, a direct result of an alliance being formed between the Democrat Party and our ‘Establishment’ Republicans, aka RINOs, like John McCain.  The virulently anti-Trump McCain reportedly told a left-wing newspaper that he believes “American leadership” was better under Obummer than it is currently under President Trump.  This idiotic comment was but the latest in a series of pot shots that the failed 2008 presidential candidate has taken at his fellow Republican.  And according to the Guardian, McCain was “visibly irked” when asked about comments Trump made last week in the wake of the terrorist attack in London, in which he criticized London Mayor Sadiq Khan for his response to the atrocity.  ‘Visibly irked?”  How can you tell, maybe McCain just wet himself!

And then, when asked if America’s international standing was better under Obummer, McCain reportedly responded by saying, “As far as American leadership is concerned, yes.”  McCain, who lost his 2008 presidential bid against then-candidate Obummer after a campaign in which he repeatedly defended Obummer from his supporters’ criticisms, has been a rather outspoken critic of President Trump and has refused to tone it down since his fellow Republican took the White House.  And it was during a recent tour of Australia that McCain told an audience in Sydney that Trump has “unsettled” allies and Americans alike.  McCain said, “Other American allies have similar doubts these days and this is understandable.”  McCain said, “I realize that some of President Trump’s actions and statements have unsettled America’s friends. They have unsettled many Americans as well.”  Only those Americans like McCain and his many Democrat friends.

And it was then that McCain also went on to urge the Australians to “keep at” the Trans-Pacific Partnership deal in the hope that one day “America will decide to join you.”  He also said in an interview with an Australian TV network that Trump makes him “nervous from time to time” and said he was bothered that Trump does not always take the advice of his national security team.  He said, “Can I tell you that he does all the time?  No. Does it bother me? Yes, it bothers me.”  For anyone questioning whether McCain has become afflicted with that special brand of Pelosi kind of nuts, take the time to listen to his very confusing, garbled questioning of Comey last week!  It was hard to keep track of who was on first but it clearly was not McCain!  And anyone who has been paying any attention at has most certainly seen how it is that McCain has been steadily drifting leftward for years.  He is NOT deserving of the moniker, ‘Hero’.  And frankly, he never has been.

McCain is quixotic to the very core of his being. The guy wanders around beating on windmills with his rusty old sword mumbling incoherently.  He differs very little from every other liberal crackpot out there.  The swamp is comprised of aging hippies from the 60's who are now the "establishment" and who are demanding total subservience to establishment rule.  In their incoherent delusion, they fail to see that their time is long gone.  These 20th century neo-Marxists have become the very thing they allegedly revolted against, totalitarian despots.  The wheel is, yet again, turning and these horrible Mao wannabes are being relegated to the scrapheap of history and it terrifies them.  Good riddance to a corrupted genome.  I believe progressives like McCain are complicit with terrorists; terrorism is the primary totalitarian tactic of the Socialist left.  Obummer, Hitlery, McCain, Schumer, Pelosi, etc...terrorists - one and all.  These people are the BORG.

Look, no one has truly taken on the Washington elite and to change the way things are done, until now.  There is great fear among those who have set themselves up to become millionaires with all the power of government behind them to do as they wish.  They see a businessman who is working for the people and who has no interest in the playing of their "game" as being a very real threat to their livelihood and they will fight the change with everything they have at their disposal.  And despite their best efforts, his first 100 days have shown he can lead in the way he implemented good changes to regulations that were burdensome.  He has placed very capable people in place to take charge of their vast agencies and his recent trip to meet foreign leaders was a huge success in the form of diplomacy and leading.  All of this while he is pelted EVERY day with ‘fake news’ meant to bring him down and in spite of an ‘Establishment Washington’ who remains very much complicit.

And yet almost everywhere you look on the Republican side of the aisle, in Washington, you see that there continues to be very little to no support for President Trump as he leads against their way of doing business and ‘for’ the American people.  It's called “draining the swamp”.  The “drama situations” are being desperately created out of very flimsy cloth by the Liberal Democrats to divert attention from Trump's MAGA agenda, which, by the way, is proceeding in spite of them all.  In fact, Trump is a direct threat to all career politicians of both parties because he doesn't “play by their rules.”  Those political playbook standards are to agree with everyone, straddle all fences and never, ever be seen as having any kind of policy that could be construed as solid.  If it takes throwing America, its people, its resources and its sovereignty under the bus then so be it if it gains power or recognition for them and their twisted global aspirations.

But I guess you could say that, in a way, McCain is correct.  Because when it comes to taking America down the road to destruction, President Trump is not "leading" the way.  He is leading where it counts, you just haven't heard much about it.  Coal mines are once again, up and running. The Stock Market is still soaring.  Energy independence is upon us.  President Trump went to the Middle East, Saudi Arabia and lectured them about terrorism.  He's doing what he can to move America in the right direction.  But the threat against him is almost stifling.  His own party won't do anything to back him up.  A president is not a king.  The continual attacks needing defense, is wasting our time and making us a very dangerous people, to ourselves.  Don't believe the state-controlled media.  Whatever can be done, mostly, is being done.  The only problem I see so far is that President Trump is being forced to contend with an increasing accumulation of swamp rats.

Let’s face it, McCain has been last in his class since his academy days.  He doesn't own up to his own limitations ever, and will sell out anybody on his own side to create a safe space for himself.  He continually sides with those who would sell out this country to transform it into their globalized image without hesitation.  McCain has been a pampered leftist since college.  His father and grandfather were admirals when he was in the military.  He’s believed to have caused the fire on the USS Forrestal and running to hide during the incident.  Daddy got him flown off the ship before sailors strung him up, he was captured and became a VC songbird, and from there became a RINO senator thwarting both Bushes and now Trump.  A member of the Keating five, the ‘Gang of Eight’ and numerous other anti-Republican groups he prevented presidents from putting conservatives on the courts.  And he never saw a war he didn't want to get the U.S. involved in.

While there are those who are confidently declaring that the Republicans are setting themselves up for a potential bloodbath in 2018, I sincerely hope that enough of the American people are smarter than that.  Because the fact that Obamacare has yet to be repealed and replaced and work on tax cuts has yet to begin, is not the fault of the president as so many are quick to claim.  Instead, the fault lies with McCain and his fellow RINOs in Congress.  And while I think President Trump has done a pretty good job so far, he can only do so much by himself.  I agree he needs to take charge, to get rid of the special counsel, agree to no more appearances before Congress by his people, claiming Executive privilege, and, calling out Republicans who refuse to get behind the agenda that they were elected to do.  We the people, come 2018, will need to work to weed out those who believe as McCain does, and replace them with those who desire to “Make America Great Again!”

It is at the end of that day that if we the American people, regardless of our political affiliation, allow the Democrats, with those RINOs acting in concert with them, to be successful, to any measurable degree, in their effort to railroad President Trump, then we have proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that we have abandoned all that it means to live this great nation of ours.  And we will have willingly reduced ourselves to being little more than self-serving, disgruntled, leftwing malcontents.  And you know, have you ever noticed how it is that whenever anyone in our state-controlled media is in need of a ‘Republican’ willing to stab President Trump in the back, or to attack their own party, it is always McCain, or one of the others of a rather select few, that they always seem to turn to?  I’m not saying that President Trump cannot, or should not, be criticized, all I’m asking is that the criticism be a bit more focused on those areas where it is truly warranted.

THE WILD, WACKY WORLD OF POLITICS…

I’m thinking that the years must finally be starting to take their toll on old John "The Maverick" McCain. As we all know, there comes that time for us all when, whether we like it or not, we pass round that proverbial bend, where it’s time for the keys to be taken away, and when it’s no longer safe for us to be allowed to stray any further than the front yard. And apparently, that time has now officially arrived for the senior senator from Arizona.

And main the reason I even bring that up is because it would seem that old John recently felt the need to inform some reporters that had apparently gathered around him, that he currently has no plans to run for president again. That, despite the fact, or so he claims, that there have been some who have begged him to make another go of it. Personally, I don’t know of anyone in their right mind who would beg old John to make another run for the White house.

"Particularly since the shutdown, I’ve had a spate of emails and letters and phone calls saying, ‘Run for president again,’" McCain said, according to the Arizona Republic. "As you know, I’m seriously thinking about running for re-election to the Senate. But I think, in the words of the late Morris K. Udall, as far as my presidential ambitions are concerned, ‘The people have spoken—the bastards.’" Although, I doubt he would have been as bad as Barry.

"I can assure you, I don’t see it," McCain added. "It’s not on my radar." All I’ve got to say to that is, "Thank God for small wonders!" It’s bad enough that we now have what are younger versions of himself now talking about 2016. And oddly enough, even though McCain shut the White House possibility down, at least one pollster has said he’s seen some renewed interest in a possible McCain 2016 run. Well, as we know, you can’t fix stupid.

Bruce Merrill, someone who is supposed to be an Arizona political scientist and pollster, told the Republic that he’s recently fielded multiple calls from reporters asking about the possibility of a third McCain bid for the White House. Granted, ‘The Maverick" has always been a favorite of more than a few in the media, but other than a few weirdoes in the media, who else out there would really be wanting this old fart to run again?

And in all honesty, McCain no longer has any business being a senator, let alone being president. I think it safe to say that he long ago outlived what little usefulness he may have once provided. He’s repeatedly proven that he’s no conservative by his support for amnesty and for bogus climate change. So it is very plainly time for old John to just ride off into the sunset never to be seen or heard from again. He’s done about all the damage that he can.

MCCAIN ATTEMPTS TO PERPETUATE NOTION OF A THIRD PARTY...

Leave it to that pathetic old fossil, John "The Maverick" McCain, to make some idiotic prediction that a third political party will emerge in response to Americans' economic frustrations, and in a weak attempt, I guess, at trying to be clever we went on to say that it might very well be called "the Fed-Up Party." Ya know, this is probably something this old fart is actually hoping for, otherwise why be out there spending time in the attempt to perpetuate such an idiotic and non-productive notion. The Republican Party's "failed" presidential nominee in 2008 raised the possibility of a third party about a year ago, but his silly comments as recently as this past Tuesday would apparently suggest he has hardened his views as polls show Americans increasingly disillusioned with Washington politics. Can't imagine why that might be!

McCain is very well aware that such a scenario would be more than just a little detrimental to the entire political process, but that hasn't seemed to stop the 75-year-old, who, I supposed some would say, may now be the most prominent politician to mention that such a possibility exists, forecasting Americans will begin looking to another party to compete with Democrats and Republicans. "Unless both parties change, then I think that it's an inevitability. We aren't doing anything for the people," McCain during remarks made at the Reuters Washington Summit. Sounding almost like Barry, McCain said Americans are frustrated by sluggish economic growth that has depleted their incomes while corporate executives take in massive salary bonuses. Actually, what we're frustrated with, are politicians like McCain.

McCain claims to speak from experience, saying that in his home state of Arizona, that a third of all new registered voters are independents and, in many areas of the country, independents are increasingly the swing voters who decide elections. As for his own party, McCain, again sounding too much like Barry, expressed frustration that Republicans have not concentrated enough on the concerns of Americans struggling to make ends meet." The party, I think, has got to be a lot more responsive to the plight of the people," said McCain, who lost the presidential race to Barry "Almighty" three years ago this month. "I think we have to weigh in far more heavily on the side of things like reforming the tax code. If we reform the tax code, then many of these large corporations that paid no taxes last year ... maybe they would."

McCain, the ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee and who is very fond of referring to himself as being that self-professed maverick, says he is sticking with his own party, at least for now. Hey John, no need to do us any favors! "No, I don't think so," he said when asked whether he would saddle up with a third-party movement. "I will continue to complain about things but ... I still haven't given up on the Republican Party." Let's be perfectly honest here. If John McCain saw some political advantage for himself in doing so, he'd jump on that third party bus in a skinny minute. This guy has been a member of more congressional "gangs" whose sole purpose it has been to undermine congressional Republicans than I can count. The net result is that he has done the American people very few favors.

Look, we all know what the results have been for third-party candidacies, essentially no significant level of real success has ever been achieved. The most successful third party attempt came in 1992 when Ross Perot collected enough votes from President George H. W. Bush to help Democrat Bill Clinton win the White House. There has been some talk in political circles that the conservative Tea Party movement could eventually field its own presidential candidate, but McCain was doubtful. "The Tea Party was a movement, not an organization, as we know. And so they've kind of receded. There was never any permanency to them," he said. "But I think that you could see a national movement, that there's a group of people saying 'look we may disagree on some specific issues but we're not one of them,'" he said.

This is nothing more than a fanciful attempt by a career politician to hoodwink the American people, yet again. What actually needs to take place here is a successful takeover by conservatives of the Republican Party on the same level as the extreme, and very loony, left has succeeded in taking over the Democrat Party. McCain is doing nothing more than to join in a chorus made up of so many in the state controlled media who are attempting to persuade voters, especially those on the right, that they would be much better served if they were to support some third party candidate. The rationale for this whole cockamamie scheme, of course, is to attempt to grease the skids for a successful Barry reelection. The left would like nothing better than to successfully peel off just enough votes from whatever GOP candidate it is that goes up against Barry to increase his odds of being reelected.
