WHO REALLY LISTENS TO KARL ROVE???

He who Sean Hannity rather routinely refers to as “The Architect”, Karl Rove, says that he'd like to see Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and John Kasich booted from the race for the Republican presidential nomination so that a fresh face would then be able to emerge and could then help the fractured party win the White House.  But is that how this process is supposed to work?  I didn’t think so.

Anyway, it was during a radio interview with Hugh Hewitt that Rove said, "A fresh face might be the thing that could give us a chance to turn this election and win in November against Hillary."  Now it might also be worth mentioning here that Hewitt, too, is far from being a fan of Trump, as was made rather abundantly clear during Hewitt’s two stints as a CNN debate moderator. 

And it was during the same radio interview that Rove also went on to say, "If we have somebody who we think has been battle tested, and has strong conservative principles and the ability to articulate them, and they are nominated at this convention, there will be a lot of acrimony from the people who were seeking the nomination.”  So I’m curious, who exactly does Rove mean when he says, “we”?

And Rove went on to say, "But if it's somebody who has those convictions that they can express in a compelling way, we could come out of the convention in relatively strong position."  And he added, "In terms of being able to match somebody head to head against Hillary Clinton, that's going to be difficult to do."  It might be a little less difficult if folks like Rove were to spend less time trying to undermine Trump.

Rove said Trump — whose recent gaff about punishing women who have illegal abortions has hurt his campaign — must begin to act "in a presidential manner" if he hopes to win the nomination.  Cruz, he believes, is "somewhat" more electable than Trump, but like the billionaire developer the senator from Texas is behind Hitlery in a number of polls.  So his answer is to simply blow up the process?

And let’s not forget here that it was Rove, along with that other little weasel, Dick Morris, who said Romney was going to win the 2012 election in what was basically a landslide. Even on election night as Romney was going down in flames Rove, with his little whiteboard in hand, was saying "There is a pathway for Romney for victory".  And I haven’t put any stock into anything this guy says ever since.

What Rove says, notwithstanding, it’s to my way of thinking that on their worst day either Trump or Cruz that would be a far better president than either Hitlery or Bernie could ever hope to be on their best day.  And sorry ladies, but if abortion is your most important issue as your country is being destroyed right in front of you, then maybe you’re just too stupid to vote.  In which case I’d prefer that you didn’t.
