HEAD OF 'COMMUNIST' BROADCASTING SYSTEM (CBS) 'NEWS', CLAIMS NO BIAS...

Many of you may find this a bit difficult to swallow, I know I certain did, but the president of the 'news' division over there at the Communist Broadcast System (CBS), some moron by the name of David Rhodes, recently told the Greater Chamber's annual Economic Outlook Conference that any claims coming from conservatives that his network, as well as the rest of what is commonly referred as being the "mainstream media", is biased, are, quite simply, 'labels' that just 'don't stick.' Rhodes told 1200 WOAI's Michael Board, "We still have millions of people coming to these broadcasts, and a great day for me is when we take incoming from both sides about how we handled a story." I gotta tell ya, either this guy is delusional to the extreme, or suffering from a pretty potent case of wishful thinking, because, either way, he's just not making any sense.

In fact, this character Rhodes went on to hilariously claim that not only is CBS not biased, it is a beacon of unbiased news. "I think, frankly, one of the great things about working with Scott (Pelley, the new main anchor of the CBS Evening News) since we elevated him, is that nobody really knows where he is, and that is so rare in this environment." Rhodes said he and his management team are 'constantly diligent' in their efforts to avoid even any pretense of bias, "and they are labels,' don't stick." Rhodes acknowledged that there is a concern about bias in the 'mainstream media' that has resulted in the creation of competing news networks. That may be how this clown sees it, but I'm here to tell you whenever you're watching any 'news' program on CBS, their rampant bias becomes pretty apparent, pretty quickly. And if you're ever in the mood for a good dose of bias, all you gotta do is to watch old, senile Bob Schieffer, because he just oozes a liberal bias.

"Fox was built into a great franchise because many people in this country don't trust, or just plain don't like, the other options," he said. Most don't trust the 'mainstream media, and with good reason. Rhodes said a new report by the University of Texas School of Journalism revealing that young adults, so called 'millenials,' are less likely to consume news at all, doesn't accurately reflect reality. "In a lot of these things it is how the question is framed," he said. "If you ask people, they probably have a visceral reaction to one type of media, and that's what is being pulled out. But if you ask them whether they 'feel informed,' or 'consider themselves informed,' I think they would say that they are." Ok, "feeling" informed is one thing, actually being informed is another. And 90 percent of the 'information' that you get from mainstream media is either completely false or woefully incomplete.

Rhodes said CBS News is not doing anything special to reach young viewers. "We don't micro target, we don’t say, we need to do certain things to reach this type of viewer, 35 year olds living in these counties, you can't do that," he said. "If it is a really good story, well told, you'll get people." He said CBS is trying to remain a 'mass media,' at a time when narrowcasting over platforms from The Comedy Show to Facebook is becoming popular. "If people have that worry, I think that is misplaced," he said. "There is actually more news coverage today, more sources, more source material, information moves faster than ever before. I don't think there should be some longing for 'the good days' of information. There is more of it now, and more of it is generally better." It's not about the amount of information, or the speed with which it moves. It's about useful and reliable information, and if you're relying on places like CBS to get it, then you're going to find that's it in very short supply.

Ok, just how stupid does this clown really think we are? Because it doesn't take long when watching CBS to very quickly discover that there is a definite leftward slant to just about everything that's being presented as supposed news and information. And when looking at CBS, the bias issue is actually more of a systemic problem with it effecting much more than just the 'news' on CBS. Spend any amount of time at all watching the network and you'll quickly see that this leftist slant has permeated well into its primetime lineup as well. Guys like this Rhodes fella apparently feel that just because they repeatedly deny the existence of any bias, that we'll all somehow come to the same conclusion as well. But just because they say it, doesn't make it so. I can't watch any of the major networks anymore because I know that they're either lying to me or telling me incomplete half-truths.

I mean if people genuinely felt that they could watch CBS, as well as the other networks, and feel like they are being told the truth, Fox News wouldn't exist or if it did exist, would not have near the number of viewers that it has. But many people, because they feel they have nowhere else to turn in their attempt to get accurate and useful information, now rely on Fox News or various websites. These days the big three networks and, to even a lesser degree, CNN and of MSNBC, continue to demonstrate that they can't be counted on as a source of information. Today they proudly serve as nothing more than the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party. Now people like this Rhodes character can deny that until the cows come home, but facts are fact, and this is a fact. The majority if those who make up what’s referred to today as the 'mainstream media', long ago ceased being actual credible journalists and today serve only as corrupt propagandists.
